The Kind Stranger

The Kind Stranger

One evening, an old man named Thomas was walking home from the market. He carried a heavy bag of vegetables. His legs were tired, and his hands were shaking. Suddenly, the bag tore, and all the vegetables rolled onto the ground.
Thomas sighed. He bent down slowly to pick them up, but his back hurt. People walked by, but no one stopped to help.
Just then, a young boy named Sam saw him. Sam was on his way home after playing football. He noticed Thomas struggling. Without thinking twice, he ran to help.
“Let me pick them up for you,” Sam said with a smile.
Thomas looked at him with surprise. “Thank you, dear boy,” he said.
Sam carefully gathered the vegetables and put them in his bag. “I will carry them for you,” he offered.
Together, they walked to Thomas’s house. Along the way, they talked about life, school, and the importance of kindness.
When they reached the house, Thomas thanked Sam warmly. “You have a big heart. Always be kind,” he said, patting Sam’s head. Sam smiled. “Helping others makes me happy,” he replied.
From that day on, Sam and Thomas became good friends. Sam visited Thomas often, and they shared many stories and laughter.

Moral: A small act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.
